Virtual flowers

Virtual flowers, sent as a link

The whole product is one link. Not an attachment, not an e-card in an inbox, not a file: a web address that opens into a bouquet made for one person.

That is deliberate. A link goes everywhere a message goes, so nobody needs an account, an app, or to give us anybody's email or phone number.

flowers picked by what they mean, not at random

How it works

  1. 1

    The link is the bouquet

When you finish, you get an address that looks like thedigitalbouquet.com/b/their-name-x7k2p9. Everything about the arrangement and the note is stored behind it.

  2. 2

    It cannot be guessed

The tail of the link is random. It is not listed in any gallery, it is not in the sitemap, and search engines are told not to index it, so the only way to it is to be given it.

  3. 3

    Send it anywhere

Text, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, email, a work chat, a QR code you print. Anywhere you can put a URL, you can put the flowers.

  4. 4

    It stays yours to remove

You also get a private link of your own. It shows whether the bouquet has been opened yet, and it can delete the bouquet for good, which stops the link working for everyone.

Anyone with the link can open it

There is no password on the bouquet, because asking a recipient to log in would ruin the moment. Anybody the link is forwarded to can see it, so treat it like a photo you texted rather than a locked document. If you would rather it stopped existing, delete it and it is gone for everyone.

Ready when you are

Five short questions, and the bouquet and the note are done for you. Edit anything.

Questions

How do I send virtual flowers via link?

Make the bouquet, press Copy link on the final screen, and paste it wherever you like. There is nothing else to set up.

Does the link expire?

No. It keeps working until you delete it yourself.

Who can see the bouquet?

Anyone holding the link, and us, because the page is built from what is stored on our servers. It is not listed anywhere, it is not indexed, and we never ask for your email or theirs.

Can I see if they opened it?

Yes. Keep the private link you are given on the final screen; it tells you whether the bouquet has been opened and how many times.

Can I put the link in a QR code?

Yes. It is an ordinary URL, so any QR generator will take it. People use that for cards, gifts and place settings.
